BRIDPORT

Had mine for over 30 years and do nothing other than wash it the same as my face.

Lots of stuff available if you want it, but , in my opinion, it’s not necessary.

I’ve used a various amount of differing balms, oils and waxes on mine.

I thoroughly advocate Honest Amish beard balm for all round care and control.

Just finished off a Tom Ford ‘Tobacco Vanille’ and thank fuck it was a gift.

Not bad but not worth the £40 price tag.

Hubby uses stuff from a place I use for all if my skin care.

It's all about finding what works for you.

I like their stuff, bought it for him.. he likes it too

I do use The Beard Struggle products as well, I have tried quiet a few and TBS is the best I have come across. You can go for the whole hair and skin care routine or not, it really depends on your hair and skin.

Definitely wash it in the shower and use a nail brush to give it a scrub. No conditioner as it can cause dandruff.

Then I comb it through put in beard oil and brush it then that’s it.

My day to day is coconut hair oil. I like a little sheen.

But here's a tip - try afro hair products if you really want soft and tangle free.

I have Ruger, but honestly any beard oil works the same. You can also make your own.

When it's feeling a bit brittle and straw-like, add some. Otherwise, leave it alone. No need for shampoo or conditioner - certainly not daily. I oil my beard maybe once every few weeks.

Remember: your water hardness matters. In London you can't get away with it but in Birmingham you can basically stop using shampoo and conditioner entirely. But if you add lots of oil you'll need to take it away again (so better off not adding it).

Less is more - let the follicles be if you over-oil or strip too much natural oil they'll go into overdrive and you'll be trapped in an endless fight with them.
