"There’s a bloke in Barnstaple with a duck (an Indian runner) that wears a tie.
In Devon people walking round with strange animals is just a “thing” "
That’s just Barnstaple. There was another guy who never went out without a pair of ferrets and who drank in the Horse and groom which became the Queens head….think it changed to the Olive Branch after that…anyway the pub that sits in Bouport street between the post office and the Rising sun…Pair of Ferrets! |

Used to be all sorts. A tramp who busked with a cardboard cut out guitar, an other mad bloke who dressed like a Mexican gringo, then the bald fella who put boot polish on his head.

There was a girl who always brought a small snake into the Gifford pub in Wolves. If you left your beer when you went for a piss, the snake would be in it when you got back. Most people wouldn’t drink the beer once the snake had been in it, so she got pissed up for free !! |

Some people do like to take their birds out for free flight, it can be dangerous and takes alot of experience in handling due to other preditors in the sky mainly.
I'd love one to do the same but It would take years for that level of training! |
