From the land of haribos. |
I remember shows like the a-team, baywatch and knight rider, but my favourite one is airwolf. I liked it how the helicopter came up from behind the mountain and then that cool music started playing |

We never had a TV for most of my childhood but every Saturday we went to my grandparents who had a big colour TV. I have vivid memories of Morecambe & Wise, Dick Emery Show and falling in love with boxing. Legends like Ali, Hagler, Duran, Hearns. |

"Glen Michael's Cartoon Cavalcade
The Tripods (now there's a programme in need or a reboot)
Airwolf
Knight Rider
The A-Team
Blue Peter"
Still waiting for the BBC to green light the 3rd and final series of The Tripods.
Chances are looking slim though after 30+ years
PS The Tripod Trilogy of books are great! |

I loved reading the books, the third series was about to go into production, but because of Michael Grade's hatred ot Sci-Fi (he was the BBC Controller at them time), it never got made. A shame, as I would love to have seen more of the Golden City. |

IIRC There is a 4th book, never got round to reading it though. It is a prequel telling the story of the Masters/Tripod invasion. |

It's called 'The White Mountains' and tells the story of how the Tripods subdued the Earth and how the resistance began. I have to confess that I haven't read it, only heard about it. |

I'm desperately trying not to Google it, but I thought The White Mountains was part 1 of The Trilogy? I know The City of Gold and Lead was another but can't remember the other. Looks like a visit to Wikipedia! |

It’s quite funny how I can tell people’s ages on this thread just by the tv shows
For me it was Transformers
Bagpuss
Duck tales
Battlestar Galactica
Jayce and the wheeled warriors
Cities of gold
The Muppet show
He Man
Is it just me or are there not the same quality of kids shows now?

"Captain Pugwash deserves a mention. Just for the fact that it actually got aired with characters like Seaman Stains, Master Bates and Roger the Cabin Boy! "
I’m fairly certain that that’s just an urban myth about those characters names |

Ace of Wands with Mr Stabs and his hand of stabs still scary today.
I have been racking my brain about one I watched in 70's set in the Cotswolds about two lads on the run after witnessing a crime. One geeky schoolboy a bit Adrian Moleish had an accent possibily Polish and the other one was older wore funky denim flares and denim jacket with long hair, any ideas? |
