If he hadn't been such an arse, got an architect in from day one and stopped changing his mind then it probably would have been finished before the crash. It was his own fault, and I doubt he'll ever feature on a future revisited programme.

There is that. But what a setting for a home! Jacuzzi in a turret would be cool. I also can't watch these shows without thinking what a great swingers club some would make!

That placd would be awesome wouldn't it? Put a jacuzzi on the roof and have covered outdoor play area! And all the rooms it had in it, plenty of places for a bar. Get some huge shaggy rugs for in front of the fire during winter.

Oldbury

I love architecture but some times is so frustrating knowing that most of he people on this programme don't actually appreciate the power of good architecture.

The drawing out of the spirt that is unique to that spot in this beautiful land is a skill

Give me the money and I will show you the sublime

Jodie, I was being serious! You can sort the furnishings, I will run the bar. I dont want Deborah Meadon or Duncan bannatyne on board, cant stand either of them and they dont seem to know how to have fun.

I think our best bet is Hilary DeVey. Not only does she look like she has partied, but we could use her as a gargoyle as well.

They have the neighbours from hell for planning permission. I think it looks great on the inside and I like the outside but I wish the deck had been made of wood and not plastic. I just want to run a comb through her hair, it's been annoying me.

"" I wish the deck had been made of wood and not plastic. I just want to run a comb through her hair, it's been annoying me."

The deck will be made out of wood within 5 years. I've seen that plastic stuff and it gets really badly affected by sunlight...she won't stand it in a few years time when it is almost white.

Wondering how long new hubbie will last ....he'll be ok providing he does as he's told.

Sorry E I thought too many bits of inside looked like the reception area of a multi-national company..... just needed the company propaganda on the voice activated TVs.

"

I couldn't live there, I'd be worrying about the basement flooding and the neighbours drilling holes to ensure it happens. I can appreciate that sort out home for some. She wanted it to look like it came from a design magazine and it did look just like that.

She certainly got the design magazine look..and I think the neighbours would all have bought long drills to make sure they get through the walls....althoughI think it is mainly the building they don't like..not necessarily them (her) personally although she seems to think itis they the neighbours hate....

We just watched it. What an amazing island and stunning views. Very nice house, perfcet for them, would make a great holiday home to escape the world.

I was waiting to see if that guy DrMoreau who used to be on here was gonna be a neighbour!

This one is not coming over well on the television. It looks like the sort of thing an ex of mine would produce (architect).

Where do they all get their money from to build these Grand Designs ?

Same with that Kirsty and Phil malarky

'Janet works part-time as a school librarian and John drives a minibus for the local variety club. They have 3 kids, 2 dogs, a parrot and a baby on the way. They have a budget of £1.2 million'

I think I should write in and see if they can find me anywhere - or better still see if they can find me one of these part time jobs that pay enough for me to move into a stately home'

And don't even get me started on A Place in The Sun or A place in The Country or by the Sea whether it be at home or away.

You really are getting your rant quotient before you go on holiday!

I do know what you mean... I want one of those part-time jobs too.

I think you can only get on them programmes if you want either stables and room for horses or if you want space to run a business from home.

They seem like pre-requisites.

And being a graphic designer helps - that seems a popular line of work to be in for house hunters these days.

As you can see, I have my cynical head on tonight

I hear ya, but, like some of the properties she showcases, I have a feeling she could be high maintenance

"New series starts tomorrow. One of my fav shows on TV!"

Love tonight's and wish I could get my neighbours to pat £500 a month to rent 1metre of my back garden.

Yuk yuk yukity yuk. IMHO the worst house he has ever had on there. It ended up looking like a house at the ideal home exhibition, you know, a house in a warehouse.

If I were the neighbours whose house they made leak for 8 months, I think I would have wrapped one of their girders around their heads
