Carrots- I’m constantly surprised how cheap they are, you can buy a bag of carrots for 40p, these thing give you night vision.

Milk - it’s nearly as cheap as water, how does that work, it strengths your bones ffs ?!

Chicken. How can it be right that this animal is born, reared, slaughtered and processed yet still costs so little? I do understand the mechanics of factory farming but it still blows my mind.

Likewise bananas. How can we have these exotic fruits shipped half way round the world yet they're so cheap and so plentiful?

Nah, it's cos they contain Vitamin A, which is essential for the rods and cones in your eyes. But, you'd have to eat enough carrots to sink a battleship for them to have ANY impact on eyesight.

I get quite excited by any sort of grocery item that is less than a pound. Which fortunatly for my excitement levels is quite a lot of stuff. Even a tin of fancy plump chickpeas is only 85 pence, compared to bullet bargain 35 pence ones. I treat myself to fancy ones.
