Well done andy! I reckon since that loss to federer at wimbledon,he s a changed man,seemed like he won over alot of people,and has used that support to go on+get better,1st olympic gold,then us open amazing,could open the floodgates for more big wins.

Yes the SPOTY will be the closest ever,my personal top3 would be-1-mo farah,2-bradley wiggins:3-andy murray,but then you have people like chris hoy,david weir+elly simmonds who would all be worthy winners,at least we definitely know it wont be john terry!!! Lol

I have been doing a bit of research and can only find one other Scottish born tennis player Harold Mahoney, he was Born in Edinburgh but had Irish parents so played as an Irishman he won Wimbledon in 1896. I'm now wondering if Andy Murray is the first Scot to win a Tennis Grand Slam !
