"Two complete different bands. Sterophonics mid-paced dad rock, and Manic Street Preachers, while shite for the last 23 years, possess the a singer with one of the greatest voices in rock. "
They are indeed two completely different bands.... but that's unimportant. It doesn't always have to be a tough choice between two similar sounds after all. |

Stereophonics are good but Manics on their day were unique.
Could choose anything from You Love Us to La Tristesse Durera. Stay Beautiful to If you Tolerate...
But the PCP / Faster ep is one of the most ferocious edgy releases ever

Stereophonics without question!
Been to seen them live a few times, one being an intimate gig for a pre-stadium warm up and Kelly’s voice is just incredible!
Their songs are so diverse and his songs writing is clever/weird

Having seen the Manics way back in 1990, with an audience of about 50, then ending up working on some of their gigs more recently (also did the other lot a couple of times)- JDB and the boys win by a mile here |

Going to see the Manics on Monday now,can’t wait,their new album some classic songs on there already but saying that be going to see the Phonics xmas gig too….two bands banging out classic tuuuunnessss all night.

Phonics for me... Love Kelly Jones voice... If rather stick pins in my eyes than see the manics I'm afraid.
As for fave tracks... Pfft.. So many to pick but I loved the cover of gladrags or have a nice day.. Can't fail to sing along with that... Or..tramps vest.. Great band. |
