...a good, old-fashioned, honest-to-goodness Alien Invasion from Outer Space.
ala "Independence Day"
You see, when Mankind has nothing better to do, we tear ourselves apart.
With an invasive Alien species hellbent on our eradication, we put aside our differences and unite against a common foe.
Though I do fear if they have a Death Star, it's more a case of press a button with a noodly-appendage and the planet turns to space-dust.
Which would have made Independence Day a rather short movie too. But probably more realistic, since any species that can traverse light-years will have some amazeball power sources and therefore weaponry.
(Why would Aliens have weaponry ? Because any species sufficient to have climbed the apex of their civilisation will have done so via military means, not poetry recitals and coffee-mornings with neighbouring civilisations.) |
