More than I know. It's a strange life cycle. Baby teaspoons start out as paperclips and eat rubberbands and fluff. The teaspoon is actually an intermediate stage, you occasionally find a freshly metamorphosed one lying around somewhere in the house, often near your desk, and can't recall having had a mug of tea there recently.
The male ones eventually grow into being wire coathangers. The female ones have a variety of forms, mostly as strange implements that jam the kitchen drawer and you have no idea what they are supposed to be used for. |

I don’t use them much. I don’t drink coffee and rarely drink tea. Swing uses them more than I do and he doesn’t live here. I use latte spoons more frequently |

I'm not posh, I just know how many I use in the time between dishwasher cycles with the amount of tea I drink and Sundae spoons are so much better to use as teaspoons anyway  |

I did a check and went downstairs today
Did a count of spoons, I have to say

I counted. I have 47.
I also have 12 of those long handled ones and 2 ones that are wiggly and sit on the side of a cup.
I think I have too many teaspoons for a single woman who lives alone. |

28 or thereabouts. No more than seven in the kitchen at any one time. As the rest are buried in the sofa, the yard and under kids' beds along with crusted "mug cake" mugs. |
