I hope they do. I find it fascinating what was once roaming around on earth.
We haven't been on this planet for a second compared to dinosaurs..
But look! Just look at what we have achieved in a short time
Makes me think did me humans come from somewhere else |

Bring them all back.
Zoos are pretty crap now, its only a few animals worth seeing in zoos.
So many undiscovered birds, insects, sealife etc there still may be wildlife from the dino ages on this planet. |

"Scientists want to bring back Mammoths .. what is going on here ?
Maybe save the animal we have got not bring things back... "
^^^^^^^^ So true save the animals that are facing extinction, i.e the Polar Bears because their natural habitat is melting dur to climate change...not bring the ones that are extinct for 100s of years back. |

I say go for it. Get them an island somewhere warm, put up big fences and crack on.. Maybe even open it to visitors when they succeed! What's the worst that could happen..

Interesting if one were truly able to bring back extinct species off animals imagine the possibilities it could open up scientifically…
…Not to mention if you had a T-Rex which you raised you could have it eat and devour you’re enemies and other undesirables in life who you encounter |

They're not dinosaurs though Tom. Guessing it's been said already.
I'm very hesitant about it, as it's a huge responsibility to care for any animal. Launching a species that's extinct, albeit with combined DNA of a living species, is a massive responsibility. These animals no longer have the same habitats in existence. We also don't know what their impacts on the world today would be.
I think their stated objectives are not fully honest. Most of this is likely to be the first team to do something this big.
Their potential unintended consequences don't seem to have been discussed. |

Tom it’s a well known fact that Mammoths died out in the mid eighties when all things hairy started the slow descent into extinction. Some say it started with a magazine called “shaven havens”, others say the package tour to magaluf and the drag coefficient of swimming in the Mediterranean, meant the hirsute drowned, in a bubbling mess of factor 20 and sangria. Others still, say that a group of nannas tired of rising wool prices started to harvest the younger members of the W.I.
One things for certain, we will never know the cause, but I personally think that leg warmers were the cause, with the invention of these rainbow coloured calf snugglers, there was no need to perform the ankle comb-over come winter. We should probably have a vigil |

"Scientists want to bring back Mammoths .. what is going on here ?"
You can tell mammoths were from the 1970’s because of their hair, wondered why they went extinct, did they just become passé in the early 80’s because of new wave ? |

"Take the size of the Mammoth and the aggression of an African elephant and the offspring would be a fearsome creature. A super dinosaur "
Dinosaurs are Reptiles Tom, Mammoths and Elephants are mammals.
A super Mammoth maybe.... |

Well I bow to your classification of animals although if I was walking along minding my own business and saw a mammoth then I would alert people by running away and shouting ... Hide ! There is a fucking dinosaur. In my world the dinosaurs can be reptiles, insects, birds, mammals or whatever they want to be called.. they are all from the dinosaur age and all dinosaurs.... While I am shouting 'Run! There is a fucking dinosaur' The pedantics will be the ones stood there arguing about terminology and about to eaten... |

"And if they mate a mammoth with an African elephant what in hell will the offspring turn out like. "
Well...
Judging by the fact that Mammoths were like large furry elephants, I would gues that their offspring would be like a big elephant with a bit of fur |

You’re missing the potential/golden opportunity here Tom…
If you use some futuristic technology to domesticate the dinosaurs you could on command have them devour countless undesirables in this world….
Imagine the endless possibilities off what you could accomplish? |
