"They are saying that within six years they will bring back Mammoth.. what next...the TRex..

They're not dinosaurs though Tom. Guessing it's been said already.

I'm very hesitant about it, as it's a huge responsibility to care for any animal. Launching a species that's extinct, albeit with combined DNA of a living species, is a massive responsibility. These animals no longer have the same habitats in existence. We also don't know what their impacts on the world today would be.

I think their stated objectives are not fully honest. Most of this is likely to be the first team to do something this big.

Their potential unintended consequences don't seem to have been discussed.

Mammoths died out as a result of global warming - about 3700 years ago.

Okehampton

Tom it’s a well known fact that Mammoths died out in the mid eighties when all things hairy started the slow descent into extinction. Some say it started with a magazine called “shaven havens”, others say the package tour to magaluf and the drag coefficient of swimming in the Mediterranean, meant the hirsute drowned, in a bubbling mess of factor 20 and sangria. Others still, say that a group of nannas tired of rising wool prices started to harvest the younger members of the W.I.

One things for certain, we will never know the cause, but I personally think that leg warmers were the cause, with the invention of these rainbow coloured calf snugglers, there was no need to perform the ankle comb-over come winter. We should probably have a vigil

You can tell mammoths were from the 1970’s because of their hair, wondered why they went extinct, did they just become passé in the early 80’s because of new wave ?
