How many on here do yoga ? Do you do it regularly and what’s your favourite discipline? Is it a quick daily sun salutation routine or something more like a long work out?
I usually take classes as I’m really bad at creating my own routine (I get bored too easily and end up cutting corners and check my phone… surprise surprise) and I also do private lessons with my yogi teacher
2-3 times a week. And they are 60-80 mins work outs. Vinyasa/flow in the mornings, and yin (so keeping positions for long to work the deep muscles) at night.
Any favourite yoga positions btw?
Mine is puppy pose, ass in the air and chest and chin to the floor
Also dancer pose
I find yoga to be incredibly good for both mental and physical wellness. And however says it’s easy peasy, they are lying to you |

Yes we both do ten minutes every morning and have to say that I was very skeptical when the Mrs said a couple of years ago that she wanted us to do it.
I have become a convert as it has really help with flexibility, balance and a general feeling of well-being in the morning. |

I used to do lots of yoga years ago; but several injuries and now very stiff joints and not so mobile areas have put paid to it all.
Used to enjoy one that i think was called happy baby pose laid on my back knees up to my chest rocking backwards and forwards.
now i am thinking Kylie and naked yoga (oooops - i must behave) ! |

I’m glad you got converted, it does help loads with flexibility but also core strength.
I think sometimes people think of yoga as just meditation or something you can do if you have balance and are flexible when it really isn’t the case x |

"I’d love to try Yoga but would feel daft and old going to classes.
I heard it’s quite common to make you fart as well "
U shouldn’t! Yoga literally is for everyone at any age etc x some people are so hang up thinking that or .. that you can’t do it because you aren’t flexible enough. Maybe try find a local class and see ,
Speak to the teacher and ask questions.
Luckily you aren’t in LA where probably itd be full of yummy mummies |

I did few challenges during lockdowns
1st lockdown took up running, rana half marathon in 1:59 by the end
The month long lockdown in November took up yoga. 1 hour every morning before work. I found yin to be the most enjoyable for me. Saw big improvements in my mobility and just generally feeling better in my body/joints
Downdog app is great too since it’s AI controlled, you just input a few categories and it makes a new routine up each time |

That sounds good, I’ll download the app! Thanks for the suggestion x
I assume u go to the gym a lot (working on strength) so Yin is great for you as it is even better than normal stretching x |

Oh nice, where abouts? X I find meditation to be the hardest as my mind fidgets so easy x Pranayama is so good tho when I feel anxious x |
