OK, kinda strange one for a first post but I was just chatting to a (disabled so vulnerable) women on here that after chatting to, becoming friends and eventually giving her address to some guy has just been blocked by him.

She’s understandably a little weirded out by that reaction and for whatever reason can’t message admin about it.

I’ve no idea how this kinda thing is dealt with, I can’t message him (as it’s women only messages etc) to tell him she’s worrying about it, so?

What’s the best course of action people?

Send a message to admin and they will see what the best option is. But sadly I think the only advice anyone can give here is never give out your address to someone you don't know and trust.

Excuse my ignorance but how do you message admin, I couldn’t see anything obvious?

"Excuse my ignorance but how do you message admin, I couldn’t see anything obvious?"

Go to main home page and scroll to the very bottom and there's an option to contact Fab.

Somewhere in Co. Down

It may be just that she lives too close to him or something . People block for their own reasons it doesn't mean there is something sinister behind it.So I don't know what admin are expected to do about it. All the guy has done is blocked her. While I understand she must be worried and perplexed he hasn't actually broken any rules by blocking her.Its not nice he did after she told him but he must have his reasons why he did.

Sure, I understand that but a simple “no thanks” from him wouldn’t have been too much to have expected.

Anyway, I figure a simple ‘why’ from admin probably goes a long way towards letting people know their questionable actions don’t go unnoticed and maybe someone in the future isn’t then put in the same situation.

Either way it’s hard to sit back and do nothing when a friend is shitting themselves isn’t it, regardless of wether they’ve fucked up or not, we all live and learn?

Or so we’d like to think.

People are blocked here all the time and won't know the reason. Admin will not intervene in that.

She wasn't put in the position, she put herself in the position by giving out her address to a stranger. Frankly I don't know what you expect admin to do about it.

I thought the above was pretty self explanatory.

I wasn’t asking for and certainly not expecting any punitive action, I get that but maybe something on the lines of ‘someone’s now worried because of your actions, could you please explain yourself and we’ll pass that along to put their mind at rest’?

The sort of thing admins often have set as templates, it’s not difficult, click and done.

Fair play for reaching out for someone that obviously needs it on here!

But like said above I think there’s really not much the admin can do in this situation

Try get the point across to your friend this site might not be the best idea for someone that maybe can’t gauge the risks that are involved talking to strangers on here ?

I’ve a feeling she’s worked that one out herself now but I get what you’re saying.
