..and something finally works out for you after a while.. or the Universe unexpectedly winks at you with a hopeful intention of positive chapter.. do you know/recall that emotion?
I wonder is it our attitude that attracts the shift of so called fortune or it is mostly out of our hands. Do we act like a manget with our thoughts for what we desire and what we deserve? I believe we need to dedicate ourselves to sending out a vibe we want to attract. But is that all? Or are we are victims of randomness of destiny.

I remember a famous footballer who scored lots of goals being asked if this was because he was in the right place at the right time. He replied no, it was because he was in the right place all the time, always ready for the chance that might come.
I think positive opportunities can happen to anyone, but being in the 'right place' in ourselves definitely increases our chances of recognising and grasping them when they show up. |

That's Jehovah's Witnesses. They aren't your friends
What I meant by my post though was that we need to be proactive in life in order to get what we want but we won't always be successful to which my postcode lottery ticket testifies. However sitting waiting for destiny, fate, the universe to provide a lottery win is pointless if I don't have a ticket |

On a more serious note.. I think I didnt go into enough details to explain it well. As usual.
What I meant is something you didn't really consciously work on or maybe aimed for but it happens and then you get the feeling of.. yeah this is what was needed. |

A couple of months ago I’d have said yes.
My mum had died a few weeks earlier. I looked after her a lot - and for the first time in many years had the time to do a ‘proper’ job - ie full time and using a few brain cells.
I saw a receptionists job and literally pressed the ‘click to apply’ button. Within a week I was offered the job and I was over the moon.
Fast forward 6 weeks and they fired me - said I didn’t have enough admin experience - which I’d been honest about in the first place.
I went from being elated to gutted in the space of a minute.
When the good things are suddenly snatched away - it’s worse than not getting them at all! |

In all honesty, I really don’t know.
It would be great to believe in karma and determinism, sending out good vibes gets good vibes back but my personal experience says very different things.
You can be the kindest, nicest and most open person but still be beset by liars and manipulators.
I’m probably the last person to be asking this to though |

I think there is a bit of both. I think we all get some random coincidences and opportunities (call it fate or destiny or whatever), but sometimes we don't see them or we don't capitalise on them, whereas at other times we grab onto them with both hands and really make the most of them.
Maybe one of the guys whose messages I've deleted would have made my absolute ideal FWB had I been in the mood to respond to a message from a stranger about how much he wants to spunk on my tits. Who knows? Other conversations start full of promise but peter out to nothing.
Maybe one day through a quirk of timing or luck I'll check my winks, the stars will align and in winking back I'll make the most amazing connection.
Back in 2007 ish I worked for a company I'd been trying (and failing) to get into for years.
I'd applied three times and been rejected every time. I'd just started a new job which proved a massive mistake for me, left within the first month, saw a job going at this company and applied just at the point they were looking for someone who was immediately available.
There was something of the stars aligning in terms of timing, but it was also down to my own efforts and persistence that I was able to take advantage of the opportunity. |

I think that sometimes, just sometimes, the universe throws out something good at exactly the right time.
What you do with it is down to you, but if you make the most of it, it can be amazing.
It's hard sometimes to recognise the possibility of good when the rest of what's being thrown is bad though. |

I’m a believer that things happen for a reason, for eg those random folk that approach you and start to tell you their story when you didn’t ask for it, well they all have a message for you! If we’re open minded and live as true to ourselves as possible, learn from the lessons and don’t keep repeating them, then things align and fall into place. But that place may not be a rose smelling garden, perhaps some of us are supposed to have troubled times so we can help others? I do also think that the universe throws in testers just to see how you tackle them and to make you think, but again all lessons! I could go on but I’d bore you all to tears hehe! Miss pc |

Both we send out the vibe and energy we attract as well as victims of randomness, more so victim of environment and era, things outside our control influence the opportunities we have greatly. |

I believe everything happens for a reason, what that reason is will we be the lesson we need to learn at that time, be it good or bad we can only live life one second at a time but it's only when I look back that I realise that things worked out not in the way I might of hoped, but in the way they were supposed to |

Mt Killjoy here
Coincidence and chance are usually unseen actions outside of our control that affect us.
Our minds try to make sense of this lack of control, some are happy accepting coincidence and making the most of whatever came along, while others need an explanation.
Enter the opportunist, selling the wonderful healing properties of salt lamps, horoscopes and ism's to fill the void.
We can't know every single thing that could possibly have an effect on us, but we can be ready to deal with those things effectively |

Perhaps one cannot exist without other. Waiting for opportunities usually takes longer than creating them or actively seeking yourself |

The last part. I should very much hope that will be the case in majority cases!

In a way I think you are right but also to reach that positive stuff you sometimes have to face the darkest of dark things that you keep hidden inside you. Breaking cycles of repeating relationships that end the same way, changing your perspective and perception of how others treat you and remove the negative emotion vampires or toxic people from your life. That makes room for the good and right ones that should be there. |

Cause precedes effect so when something happens it is due to prior action(s) that we may or may not perceive. That is different to saying that something has happened and it now determines the future. |
