...pumped full of something or other goes on much more in regular society than you would think.
By gagging I mean the sort that brings about an individuals silence.
Should all forms of gagging be respected?

Societal conditioning...From an early age we are taught that 'mind what you say/speak when spoken too and to speak within the parameters of law and social policy.
People cite freedom of speech buy really how much freedom to speak do we really have? Especially on media platforms where your words can't be eradicated easily.

I don't think anyone should be silenced regardless of their views.
It takes many years to learn that sometimes listening and maintaining silence is a far more powerful tool than roaring out biased self serving beliefs as if volume and quantity make you correct.
Pity the fools that digest what you vomit into the void.
If we take time to consider situations and take into account whether what we say will make a difference for the better or not ..... then we would speak only when what we say is necessary and will be effective.

Sadly, it’s far too easy for people to speak their minds any time they wish.
Covid deniers are a case in point.
Terrorist groups who spread hate and condemn infidels.
Online Bullying via social media.
We live in a world where the desires of others to spout their venom sees it as commonplace and makes a mockery of what “freedom” is - it’s exactly why I have zero form of “social” media.

There is a thread on here at the moment where battle is going on between two that I can't distinguish between as their aim is to win a futile dispute and each spouts at the other for the sake of spouting.....

" Not silenced for any view is a hard one to swallow, but I get it's intent.
If balanced with a consideration of what impact our words will have on others then roll out any view out there. |

I agree with what you say about weighing our own words before speech, but also words are weighed to have impact too we cannot always step carefully..wisely yes..but not carefully always. |

" Societal conditioning can be very effective! Once public opinions are now held in more secret places...not always a bad thing! |
