There's an old lady across the road from me and I like to be naked sometimes in my house where she might get a flash from me occasionally. I really enjoy it, would love to get naked in front of her properly but don't really want her touching me or anything. Think I might be a bit if an exhibitionist. Does anyone else have a neighbour they flash?

I often walk around naked, seen the neighbour peeping over the fence, she can see through the patio doors if she stands in the right place

It's very subtle, maybe after a shower or putting something in the wash basket. Not real flashing. Not really right next to the window either but she would be able to see sometimes. Only happens once a month or so.

It’s a great turn on , I know she can’t accidentally see, there’s only one place in her garden with a view, if I’m lying on the sofa she can see everything I have

Legally you can do it from your own home, but don’t take it any further than that without her consent

Yup. I sometimes chat to her when I see her in the street. Can't really picture a scenario where it would go further and I won't be pushing it. Just like thinking about it. There are naturist spas around me I can go to to get proper naked in front of others without offending anyone. Went to a nudist beach recently and loved it.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Legally you can't any deliberate act f public exposure regardless of where you are can be prosecuted if somebody was to complain.

Of course it has to be proved with evidence but still just be careful just because you are in your own house doesn't make you immune from prosecution.

Is that true? I thought that within my house I have the right to privacy and anyone looking in, it’s their problem?

I’ll need to research this

I promise you all that it's not blatant. I've seen another of the 'cross the road' neighbours naked before, it happens. It's very rare I do it.

Under UK law its not illegal to answer the door to your home in your underwear or walk around the house in the buff.

This means even if you're visible through an unshuttered window you aren't technically breaking the law because this shouldn't be a cause for alarm.

However, if the nudity becomes a regularity and if your neighbours complain to the cops enough the authorities might take action against you.

Well, there you have it. Good old England. If someone complains about you being naked in your own home, you can get in trouble.

I'd say very late sixties. Still very sprightly. She's always chatty with me and everyone else. Known her for over 20 years. Don't fancy her or anything.

Standing in the window with no clothes on is deliberate, accidentally walking into a room where the curtains or blinds are not closed after getting out the shower is not. Do it three or four times and it becomes deliberate and it doesn't matter where the person is unless of course they are on you property.

Your right to privacy is weighed up against their rights not to seen your genitals, think you would find that the prosecution would argue your right to privacy involves you closing your curtains.

Say a young girl is walking down the street… and some guy strips naked and presses himself against the window as she passes…. That’s how you get into trouble… and quite rightly so. Being in your own home is no defence

I’d have thought that it also means don’t look into other peoples houses

This is a bit of ”Heisenberg*” law. The way I have heard it explained is …nudity or even having sex in such place it is visible to the public (even when in your own home) is NOT illegal ….so far so good,….except “where it is likely to cause offence”. This means anyone including the police person who sees you, can, claim to have been offended and as such you are in breach of the law. Thus rendering it as to all intent and purpose, illegal only if you get caught.

*Heisenberg’s uncertainty principal (paraphrased for context) says something doesn’t exist until you see it.

Hence the words deliberate in the law. I know I have walked into our bedroom naked only to find that the blinds were open but it is hard to see into an upstairs bedroom and I quickly covered up.

It the deliberate act that is against the law. So if you want to walk around your house naked then you may but the law would expect you to take all necessary measure to prevent people from seeing your naked body by for example closing curtains or blinds.

It is only natural when walking down a street for people to be nosey and look through house windows, we all do it

If she's not wearing her glasses she probably can't see you anyway.

Does the law say anything about wearing an elephant trunk and ears posing pouch in your own home? Asking for a friend

To answer your question we don't have neighbours we flash. I (f) sometimes sunbathe naked. When I do I make sure I can't be seen unless someone tries very hard. If they do and they cop an eyeful it doesn't turn me on, I just think "meh" and carry on

In my younger days a would walk round naked and my kitchen was overlooked by an older woman’s flat, she once said,”do you know I can see right into your kitchen window when you put the light on” I said, “are you complaining” and she replied “no not at all” I said “well I will be in there tonight at around 9pm” and sure enough she was at her window looking for me, I think we both enjoyed our secret flashing sessions.

Yeah I'm lucky enough to have a small section of garden that isn't overlooked. I love a bit of nude sunbathing. It's vaguely possible someone could see me if they tried but I'm like you, I just think meh. It's so liberating I just love it. Would love to have a sunbathe buddy!

Brilliant. That's the kind of conversation I'd love to have with her sometime but I won't initiate it.
