Another thread gave me a thought.

Do you think the age you were introduced to sex has an in impact on how much sex you need in your life?

I was introduced when a teenager and find I need sex a lot. Is this because I've never known adult life without it?

Whereas if you weren't introduced to sex until later years, say mid 20's do you think you can live without it easier as you've already had parts of your adult life without sex?

This may come across as total crap, but I would find it interesting to know your personal views.

Don’t think it would matter

I don’t have sex because I need it I have sex because I injoy it

So no matter the age that I was introduced to it I would still injoy it the same so would still be the same

For me, it's more to do with who I'm engaging with and the thoughts that run through my mind, based on the mood between us.

I've had years without sex and conversely, continuous days where I'm completely insatiable.

I'm not sure. I was "introduced" (that's tickled me, sorry OP) to MF sex when I was in my twenties. If anything I went through an easily dickstracted phase because I had a lot of dicking to catch up on so I'm not too sure really. I think it just depends on the person, not when they were... introduced.

Not really, I'm finding it's certain people, some I just cannot get enough of, some are an occasional or a one off. The only time I get major cock hungry is when I'm ovulating

You might be on to something. I started young and have a high sex drive. But I think sex drive is just something variable and specific to individuals. There might be some trends like young starters, but I doubt it'll correlate into a rule xx

I didn't have sex until I was 25. I didn't kiss a girl until I was almost 20.

I went for almost 10 years without sex later in life.

I became an adult at 12 due to circumstances but I don't think any of that is connected.

I also suffer from anhedonia so that probably accounts for not always wanting or needing sex so I've never been insatiable at any point in my life.

It doesn't stop me from being present though when with someone and doesn't dilute the intensity.

I think experience sets the sex drive or at least did for me.

I didn’t have a great sex life (or marriage) when married so I can take it or leave it. I do love sex though especially just before my monthly’s

Hmm not sure about your hypothesis OP

It's more to do with the connection for me... And currently time /distance

I would say that my sexual energy has fluctuated and flowed with a few different factors from within me and from external circumstances.

I had sexual experiences from my teen years, quite young.. Some good, some bad. I do think some of these experienced influenced my relationship with sex at times but I'm not sure if it influenced my sex drive. Good question OP. It would be interesting to see if there's any research.

I've had peaks and troughs with my sexual energy with or without partners in my life. Glad to say, although I've always been a steadily active and horny one.. these days and the last few years are peaks of delight woo hoo. Long may it last. I'm perimenopsusal and I don't want my sexual energy to wane any time soon !!

It's the person. The connection and X factor they have that makes me want sex with them all the time.

I don't think so, we were both teens when we first ventured sexually.

We both adore sex and like lots of it, we've also both previously taken time out from sex and managed perfectly well without.

Not now we're together though, enough never seems enough

Wirral

I lost my virginity at an early age (I wasn't hanging around and taking my time, that's for sure!).

I didn't particularly enjoy sex though, so having a decade of celibacy from my mid-20s to my mid-30s wasn't an issue - I didn't feel anything was missing from my life and assumed I would never masturbate again, much less have sex.

Coming back to sex in my mid-30s was a revelation, and I do have a very high sex drive now I'm in my late 40s - it seems to be increasing over time too.
