There is a lot of cheap shit out there in our consumer world...

What are some items & brands that you wouldn't hesitate to spend more money on?

For me, Mayo is one, it's gotta be Hellmans, I don't accept the existence of the other shite

And another is Stone Island/ CP Company, I love the experimentation that they put into their textiles and how they haven't farmed out all their work to some sweatshop in the far East, if an item is made somewhere besides Italy, its because that country makes the best of the material they are using...

So yeah, what sort of things do you quite happily pay more for?

I mostly buy second hand clothes, but I stick with Ted Baker and Paul Smith for the cut and quality.

Black Farmer sausages are the best.

Heinz or Branston baked beans only.

East Sussex

Kellogg's cornflakes only. Apart from that I just buy what seems to be the best quality

for the price I can afford regardless of brand.

I do that quite often too! I love trawling vintage websites!

I may need to try these sausages!

Mrs will buy lots of clothes from Ted Baker and Joe Brown.

For me it not a brand thing as such but I used to race in Adidas footwear and even now long after my last race I still only have Adidas trainers.

Having thought about it, we have zero brand loyalty

Always buy better quality clothes and shoes, even if second hand. They actually save money in the long run as they last longer and get more wear.

Branding is cruel and painful - I avoid inflicting it when possible.

Brand loyalty is an expensive hobby if I can find something as good at a better price I will.

Food wise, whatever is on offer

Clothes wise, whatever suits my build

I'm not a cheapskate, but I am value conscious
