For me it’s when Darth Vader reveals himself to be Luke Skywalker's father.
Reminds me of the time I fought with an enemy of mine in a pub car park and he revealed he’d shagged my Mum and was an evil space Lord too. Some things are just too personal to repeat. |

"Anything really gory or too authentically violent. People being set on fire, buried alive, set upon by mobs of people etc., I just can't cope with it, even if it's not real."
This
Fake gore not a problem, but if it looks/sounds real, I mute it and look away till its over |

"Anything involving Killer Bob in Twin Peaks, both the movie and the series.
"
I'm starting the box set today. Watched it many years ago and had a thing for Bob. |

Nooooooo! , he was terrifying, I tried watching it again recently and still become a wuss whenever he shows up. I think it was because the series started out like a really funny and bad soap opera then Lynch just flips it into utter horror. Scarred me for life!

Can’t watch any scene in which a child is killed. So I’ve only watched half of The House that Jack built, one particular scene just got to me so much I turned it off.
The Boy in the striped Pajamas I managed to watch but can’t see it a second time.

"Surprised no one mentioned "that scene" from Irreversible. One of the most disturbing scenes ever."
Agreed, me and my ex wife actually bought the film to see it. Once and only once I’ve managed to get through it, we also lent it out to a mutual friend but had to warn them in advance, that it was really distressing at one point. |

"I can’t watch Nickys death in casino ..
I can watch it but it's definitely rough
Not as bad as the bit where Nicky has that guy's head in the vice.
"
You're not wrong. The pen scene always makes me wince. |

Yes. I heard that they used some specific sound techniques to make the scene feel so realistic. That scene or maybe the whole movie was written to disturb people |

It’s what you get with Gaspar Noe, just look at the titles of his previous work
But it’s an interesting premise he brought to that film and the end scene has more to it, with her sitting in the park reading that particular book. Worth looking at and what the book is about.
I didn’t like the film but glad I’ve seen it. |

Have heard about his reputation. Still didn't watch any of his other movies. Will add them to my list |

What they said. It is very disturbing. Nasty business. I advise against it. |

Nothing turns my stomach really regarding humans. And to be honest it’s made me a very good first aider and I’ve administered treatment to someone where once the factory nurse was throwing up. Having said that animal cruelty enrages me and I can’t watch that. Hey ho. |

"Raiders of the Lost Ark. The opening of the ark scene is still disturbing even now!"
Also makes the entire film pointless, as Indy could have just left them to it, they'd have opened the arc and the outcome would be the same. |

For us both any scene with a much loved dog dying is a aright moment.
Other than that m has a horrific fear and reaction to any movie where someone has something done tk their eyes. He got superglue in his eye at 17 and although there's no lasting physical damage, it's left a lasting psychological scar. |

* Wolf Creek - 'Head on a stick' scene. Especially as of all the people, that person was the most resourceful of the bunch and there were more people still left.
* Eden Lake - the Stanley knife scene that makes everyone an accomplice.
Both truly disturbing. |

If I remember, if Indy hadn't intervened, they would have put the Ark on that plane straight for Germany. |

The ending of Requiem for a Dream when the consequences of the main characters addictions are delivered for everyone to see. Just can’t bring myself to rewatch it. |

"Any chopping fingers off scenes
What about hand crushing, like the scene in casino?
Wasn’t it his head he put in the vice "
That actually happened in real life by the Gangster Pesci character is based on. Which makes it an even more grisly scene to watch. |

"I am Legend, the scene where (I presume) he kills his dog. I turned it off when I realised what was going to happen and I've never watched the rest of the film "
I had to walk out of the cinema at that point...if I'd known the dog died I never would have gone to see it |

There's a scene in rambo where they are in Cambodia and the military attack a village and throw a toddler into a burning hut, does me everytime.
Also the scene in hostel where he gets his achilles tendons sliced with a scalpel.
And lastly, not a movie but the scene in sons of anarchy where oppie gets killed, never able to watch that again. |

That happens too but De Niro has somebody's hand smashed with a hammer because they were cheating at cards. |

Total Recall when certain characters in Arnold's character suffocate on the surface of Mars and their eyes bulge out of their sockets.
Horrified me as a kid and still can't watch it to this day. I can't even stand that horrible sound of the villain struggling to breath near the end. |

As of yesterday there's a scene on a Netflix film that I can never ever watch again where this deranged woman feeds a little dog to a swarm of blood thirsty locusts..
It's just wrong and didn't need to be in the script . It was just horrible |
