Prince - from the playfully sexually charged pop delight that's Little Red Corvette to the epic, sweeping power balled of Purple Rain. Groundbreaking, fearless, inspirational - there's a Prince song for every mood.
(It was a tough call to be fair, I'm mainly going for Prince because I can't say both and want to even things out a bit) |

"Feck it's another Sophie's choice.
Gun to my head I'll say Bowie, favourite track is life on Mars.
Well, you asked for it!!"
I did but not one this hard. I only hope the next one is an easier choice |

Bowie, and it has to be total fantasy, or as I like to call it “Bowie, as his life should have been”
It has to include The Laughing Gnome, as I was given that by my grandmother when I was younger- an unrecognised work of genius! Haha x
In this musical he marries me, he’s dressed as Ziggy, from the Spiders from Mars, and I’m in the gown Sarah wore in Labyrinth. He confesses he’s really a vampire, and dedicates Heroes to me, as we re-enact the shirt ripping, whipping scene from Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, before we run into the moonlight to Let’s Dance (it’s absolutely true, that my love of red shoes came from that video and I was madly in love with him and determined to marry him- alas, the closest I got was that my ex hubby was blond and called David Jones)
As you can tell, I’m no longer obsessed with him
Viv xx
But if it’s Prince, I want to re-enact Kiss with him…that deepening of the voice!! Quiver!!! |

Oooh... this is super hard.
I initially though Prince, and purple rain (no surprise for a guitarist I guess) but Bowie has such an eclectic back catalogue, I gonna land on the Bowie side of this fence
Lets dance! |

Life on Mars was pretty damn good and the series by the same name was a blinder
And who could forget the Laughing Gnome "
See!! It’s a work of pure genius!! Can’t believe it didn’t get the recognition it deserved xx |

Prince. I love a lot of Bowie but Prince was a true genius and one of my all time musical heroes.
One track would have to be Kiss, pop perfection, sexy, funky and cool, like the man himself. |

Why don’t you ask me to pick my favourite child? It’s easier!
Bowie shades it for his longevity and ability to reinvent himself, I love Prince but Bowie was a trailblazer without whom many others, including Prince, would not have existed on the same level. |

This is obviously gonna be Prince for us.
The best musician / live performer there’s been for the past 35 years.
1 song is to difficult to choose but the whole of the sign ‘o’ the times album is a reflection of how amazing he was

Prince (or tafkap) sucks
Anyone who names themselves an inaudible symbol gets no respect from me.
You make a damn good point there."
I don't get the fuss with Prince! He is a poor Hendrix rip off in my opinion. |

Prince -Purple Rain and Let's go Crazy
Such a charismatic talented man, unlimited amounts of sex appeal. A god among men!
Love Bowie (Heroes and Somebody up there likes me) unreal artist!
Both changed music for the better and were ahead of their time! |

Bowie, every time.
From Life on Mars to Lazaras,
From John, I'm only Dancing to Loving the Alien. (not a dig at Yoko BTW)
From Space Oddity to Hallo Spaceboy.
Just too many that I want to name and I don't especially feel that way about Prince. |

Anyone that prefers Prince to Bowie…. I just… I can’t even.
Let’s go basic. I defy you to provide me an acoustic riff that’s better than the verse of Starman.
Best part of 50 years and it stil slaps |

"Prince is the only artist so far up his own arse he refused to let Weird Al Yankovic do a parody of one of his songs. Tit."
Called himself a symbol? I don't even think he was a sex symbol personally. George Michael was expecially in the 80's/90's, I'm not sure how my ex mother never knew he was a friend or Dorothy though. Hahahaha |

Bowie - Heroes or Absolute Beginners, he’ll always come first.
But I have a lot of respect for Prince work, so I can’t choose between- The Beautiful Ones or You’ve got the Look, with the beautiful Sheena Easton |
