I know it’s a general saying, but do you share similar characteristics to your pet dogs, or any other pets.
I’ve a German shorthaired pointer called Gully
I wish I was a sleek as him but luckily when I’m running through the forests he runs beside me, or darts into the tress to chase a squirrel up a tree.
But he’s loyal, loving, full of cheek and charm and always looking forward Food.
So shares lots of character with me.
Tell me about yours xx

"Been told many times I look like my golden retriever. Think it is the hair colour and brown eyes as I do not have a waggy tail."
Not usually yours wagging though. |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
My Penny was little, skinny and utterly beautiful with the most gorgeous eyes. So my polar opposite looks wise.
She was also anxious, loved cuddles, and had the biggest heart in the world. And she would lick your face to stop you crying.
So absolutely identical to me in personality. |

I really hope I don't look like my French Bulldog
I definately don't have the defined muscle that he does and I can 100% guarantee everyone I don't constantly fart either.... ha
May sometimes be stubborn like him though |

My boy is blonde and I was before the baldness. I've always said if he were human he'd be bald due to the thin hair on his head.
We're both so laid back we're nearly horizontal, we share a love of food.
Neither of us are fans of having our picture taken. |

I used to have a bichon frise called Floyd, he was a pampered little bugger, hated the rain (literally walked around puddles); he loved to have his hair brushed and when no one was looking he’d eat chocolate, any chocolate he could find!
He was a loveable, friendly, mischievous little rogue so very much like me xx |

Floyd always sounded like he had a cool life, I’m still waiting on the old style bicycle and shopping basket image. With a red bow in its hair
You also forgot little and feisty |

Well I have 4 and totally look like my unruly black curly mop of a little one. My dogs totally reflect my personality and are ridiculously chilled out and daft. They just want to sleep and cuddle.
Though now I’m slightly concerned about Flos new habit of getting so excited she poos…. That’s definately not learnt from me |

Thanks OP, I could read dog threads all day.
My dogs have all been rescued/abandoned so I didn't have much choice over breeds or looks and they've all been totally different. I do think dogs soon learn our moods and rhythms and adjust accordingly so the similarities might start there. |

Yeah they adapt so quickly to be our companions in life and on our journeys.
The reasons they’re our best friends. |

"My dog is a black labrador with a penchant for eating socks. I mean, I like eating but I'm not going to eat socks. I don't think we look alike either. "
No but your dog is still so friendly and loves a fuss. And I bet given the chance it would live cake and biscuits as much as you |

Ollie looks like a big brown bear - with the most irresistible eyes - especially when he wants a treat which is pretty much always.
Nothing like me in looks but he’s gentle, very affectionate, enthusiastic, friendly and definitely his own dog (ie shit at fetch because he doesn’t see the point). He’s also a total pervert - he constantly tries to lick and sniff people’s bits and he eats the gussets of knickers if he can get hold of them!
Whether he’s like me or not I couldn’t say - but I adore him and he adores me!
He’s only 19 months so I’m hoping he’ll be around for a long time yet! |

I have 5 month old shepweiler pup who is stunning. I take her for a walk and everyone stops and says how beautiful she is. I feel like I’m on a hike with Cindy Crawford. The thing we have in common is that she eats anything and she looks so happy when you give her food and does a smiley face. She also has massive feet (paws) and so do I.
My older pooch is a Heinz variety and he’s a bit of a live wire. He gets stressed out easily, just like me! |

I can sympathise, my shar pei's prey drive is nuts. There used to be a big tom cat that frequented my yard. After a few times of being chased off he has not returned.
I'd have loved to have started feeding said tom but didn't want him getting to friendly. |
