When you see an old friend how do you usually greet them?

More on the lines of an old friend you haven't seen in a while I am thinking. The reason I ask is I had a very unusual greeting earlier today, so how do you do it?

Lol I nearly dropped my drink there but it wasn't quite that bad. Lets say I nearly ended up exposing more than I should in a beer garden.

Depends on how well I knew them before. With my former (school, uni) friends the bond is so established that even with many years of not seeing them, not even having regular contact I would still be very affectionate with them. Hugs I guess.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I hug everyone. Long, lingering hugs for those I haven't seen for a while.

A big firm hug.

I actually bumped in to an old pal this week and gave her a big hug. It must have been 15 to 18 years since we last met. It was natural and so heartfelt for both of us.

"S'up slut" with one of my mates, our conversations are usually insult based. And my other friend I hardly see gets a big hug twinned with "oh I've missed you SO much" although last time I saw her she came into church and I didn't know she was there, sat at the back then moved forward at an appropriate time and just said "budge up!" Wouldn't think it'd been months since we saw each other, that's the kind of friendship I love. Like you only saw each other yesterday even though you haven't spoke in a year

An old friend I haven't seen in a while.....hmmm...I usually start by unzipping my trousers and then pop the top open to give a gentle handshake at first.

Then slowly give it a squeeze, then a rub and take it from there.

We are always pleased to see one another
