The only rock(ish) ones as I wa growing up that I can remember were the Bangles, 4nonBlondes, and Wendy James (not all female though), then later when I managed to open my eyes from the pop world was Joan Jett, girlschool, and lita ford…Tina Turner could definitely rock a song too

I have no doubt you're right. I only know that tune of theirs. I know all of The Throwing Muses but still couldn't name a member other than Kristin Hersh and Tanya Donnelly. Might be boys.

Not a rock band but I had a thing for Mel & Kim when I was young, the song was Showing Out. I can picture the video now ??

I said this earlier in the thread but it didn’t get any attention - Those Dancing Days - female band from Norway I think? Their song ‘Hitten’, absolutely beautiful song that’s still on my playlist now, if I knew just one person read this post and listened to it I’d be so happy, having made the world a better place
