Went into town at 17:00h and found it to be too hot.

Off to walk the dog soon as it has a nice breeze and is cooler now.

spent a lovely morning down the stables with my sis and her kids, then back home to play in the garden

Sounds like you over did the sun beds. I am surprised actually that people still use them after so many warnings. Not wishing to offend you, but I am surprised as I was told they were on the decline?
