I've figured it out; the disproportionate numbers between men and women on Fab. It's not to do with supply and demand, or that many men join up believing this is Instabang, as we'd first thought.
And do you know what tipped me off to the truth? Hummingbirds. Some female Hummingbirds will pretend to be male in order to protect themselves from harassment and bullying.
So there you have it, we're all worried about men pretending to women on here when in actual fact it's women pretending to be men! 
(Don't ask me about how they get meets, I haven't worked that bit of the theory out yet  )

This explains the high proportion of men contacting me even though I’m a straight (not fab straight) male. They are actually women offering me sexual encounters testing the water before they reveal their true gender.
