See, it's reading stuff like this that completely re-enforces the thought that we should live our lives, stand up, be counted, make a difference
She did all those, but was taken tragically young
It is awfully sad, but she lived a life, she didn't hide under a rock, she went for it
More of us should do the same cos none of us know what awaits
Go for it!
RIP Sarah |

"Far too young. Cancer scares me as often you don't know it's there until it's quite progressed.
"
That's what happened to my best friend last summer! Back pain started a few months earlier and suddenly lost weight then went jaundice, Got a year diagnosis in October it's hard to catch early some cancers. Poor Sarah too young it's so sad! |

I really hate hearing about deaths from cancer. I swear the pharmaceutical companies don’t want a cure as they’ll lose money.
We went for a family meal in July & 5 out of 8 of us had cancer or were in remission or preventative treatment.
I saw Girls Aloud in concert. Possibly miming but they were very entertaining & we had a great night. I was gutted when reading Sarah had been diagnosed. Another young life taken far too soon

It's strange how they apparently found a vaccine for Covid-19! But still not a cure for cancer with all the money they receive for research. |

T is in remission for non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (final check up is in February). He spent a total of just over 6 weeks as a hospital in-patient & has been treated at 4 different hospitals. He had chemo & a stem cell transplant. With the SCT he had a dose of chemo that was so strong he was told that it might kill him. The cost of his treatment (which was actually quite straight forward) would be well over £250k nearer £300k. Then 5 years of after care - hospital visits, blood tests & seeing his consultant. It’s just not in the drug companies financial interests to find cures. And it makes me so angry. |
