I thought it was the tumble dryer that shrunk stuff. You’ll be fine. If you have a cat blame that. Say it jumped up and moved the knob (oh er) with it’s foot to the “hot as fuck!” setting.

No cat, and my machine is in a cupboard with a latch, so only myself to blame.
He's always moaning that I've shrunk his best tops. I don't think I put any t-shirt in. |

"I've accidentally put my son's tracksuits on a 60° wash.
If they have shrunk I'm never going to hear the last of it
Pray for me."
Tell him to do his own washing |

Not even a tumble dryer can shrink things these days is it’s a new modern expensive one
Thay have sensers in the that detects if wet clothes are inside if clothes are dry or nothing is in them it will not start or it cuts off well I know my dose can be a pain
If I can’t be bothered to iron can’t just throw things in it for 5 minutes |

I've definitely shrunk t-shirts in this machine. |

Cook a super-huge meal of his favourite food and let him help himself to as much of it as he likes.
Then, when he tries his track suit on, you suck your teeth an say: "Ooh dearie, looks like you overdid it with your dinner you greedy boy."
Sorted. |

He did put on a lot of weight last year and wondered why his tops were too short.
He's losing weight so I can't do the "It's because you got fat again" excuse again.
I think it's on the last spin.

"Whatever you do don’t put it in the dryer, that’ll take another few inches off it "
We don't have a dryer. I'm not allowed to put anything of his in one, or on the line when it's hot.
My house constantly looks like a laundry room.

"Praying for you... As a mother of a teen son, I feel your pain "
If he was a teenager I wouldn't be so stressed about it.
They're out now and seem to be ok.
Just have to wait and see if they still fit. |

If he complains tell him to do his own washing.
That's what we did, he now does his own washing and ironing. He knows not to complain because our response is 'well if you don't like it you can always move out." Works everytime our son is 24 not some helpless toddler. |

When your son comes home bundle him into the washing machine, give him a good wash but make sure it's at 70 deg and with a stroke of luck he will come out a bit smaller than the tracksuit and all will be good! If the tracksuit doesn't shrink but he does, just tell him he will grow into it! lol. I'm sure he has heard that before! |

2 options
Before you give him his trackies back go on a bit about now he’s grown recently, how handsome he is and how he’ll have to beat them off with a shitty stick.
Or
Just say “If you did your own washing it wouldn’t have happened, you lazy bastard!” |

Reading this makes me feel bad for having a go at my Mum when she turned my white gym socks pink. I was annoyed and I'm sure he will be too, but once you ride the storm, things will be back to normal.
BRB, gonna go call my Mum and tell her I love her |

Oh Lordie - I have done this several times. And now, if a sock goes missing, a T-shirt "APPEARS" to be a slightly different (in my eyes better) tint... I am to blame regardless of whether or not I was even at home when the crime was committed. |

No it's a toddler tracksuit because it has shrunk from a adult tracksuit to a toddler one |
