"I pick blackberries. It's fun "
I go blackberry picking with my nipper. We eat as many as we collect and those that come home with us end up in blackberry and apple (collected from the trees in our garden) crumble or blackberry ice cream. |

It can take a while for us as we make a walk of it. We take a few from one bush then move on somewhere else so we don’t completely strip an area. |

Oh - foraging. There are lots of blackberry bushes in my local park. I’m sorely tempted to take a tub out with me on our dog walk today. I have great memories of my mum’s blackberry crumbles as a kid! |

I've been foraging blackberries for at least the past six weeks; best crop for years.
The foraging incorporates dog walking (so 4 -6 times a day) and my JRT is equally good at selecting the ripe fruit and munching them straight off the brambles but, so far, hasn't contributed to the container of fruits that I take home.
To tip; if you have an excess of blackberries try your hand at making blackberry chilli jam. |

I used to go picking berries, nuts and mushrooms with my old man when I was younger. There's been once or twice coming across the odd hazelnut tree when out and about gold panning and collected a little bag full. |

I’d agree to a point - but I tried their blackberries - which look amazing but are virtually tasteless. You honestly can’t beat blackberry pie or crumble with wild blackberries. |

I agree I do pick blackberries and I keep threatening to make elderflower wine. |

it's delicious. We made blackberry wine once and that was gorgeous. At the moment we've got a cupboard full of demijohns with fermenting wine from our vine last year |

I love going out foraging.
If anyone is interested google how to build a berry locker from a plastic bottle. Makes it super easy to get the big fat ones off the top of the bushes without getting stuck by all the thorns!
I have strawberries growing in my garden which I go and pick most days and have with my morning coffee. It's very nice |
