Just watching ELO at Wembley (absolutely brilliant btw), and in the string section is a woman wearing black in a dress, sat legs open with the Cello between her legs.

Did u know that women in 17-18th century couldn’t play the cello because it was seen as extremely vulgar and something a woman couldn’t have in between her legs.
Hence why majority of women played either the piano or the violin . Tho mostly the piano was known as the feminine instrument
