If you have one that is.
As a child I used to like people's biscuit barrels or tins.
I can't remember us ever having one, but it was probably an old Quality Street tin if we did.
Do you have one now?

Haven't seen a biscuit barrel since I was a kid visiting my Nan's
We just eat our bikkies from the packet,if guests are visiting,we might scatter a few on a plate |

Empty as I've been away.
It's not been the same since they did away with Choccy Dundees and Sailsbury Biscuits but the new orange Wagon Wheels are quite good and I adore Tunnocks Marsh Mellows! |

"Is there anything worse than opening a tin of Quality Street or Roses and there being a sewing kit inside, truly heartbreaking ?!"
My sewing kit is in a tin of Cadbury chocolate fingers. My kids have experienced the disappointment

Nah, much prefer crisps. So I have a big storage box full of them in one of my cupboards.
I can remember my mum's from when I was a kid though. Blue, with a lid that contained rice to keep the biscuits dry (I can hear that rattle now). |

"I don’t own one, they always seem to smell fusty and well.. like old biscuits I rarely buy biscuits now my boys have left home "
I've just started buying them to take my painkillers with in the morning, but they keep going off.
I'm going to buy a biscuit barrel but I want a quirky one.

Don't they go soft if you don't eat them? I'm always chucking biscuits out for the birds. |

It's probably the sugar in them.
Fermentable oligo-di and mono saccharides and polyols cause stomach problems |

"I have 2 metal tin blid & box filled with jam creams!
Metal tins were popular when I was a child. "
I tried to get a biscuit barrel - but they didn't have any where I live. Went to a fair few shops. Couldn't be arsed to go into the centre of town! |

I used to like the proper metal ones with a tight lid full of air that you had to fight to get off. Ceramic biscuit barells are a dissapointment, they make the biccies soggy. |

I don't have one but I hate biscuits when they are all mixed together as they start to all taste the same. I have a mason jar that I fill each week. This week it was jammy dodgers. My biscuit game is WEAK. |

I leave them in the packets, within the biscuit barrel. Stops them all mixing into one flavour biscuit. |

"One is doctor who's TARDIS the other a robot with step away from cookie jar sound when lid comes off
That is what I'm talking about haha got to be done I come from a long line of biscuit tinners "
I remember my aunts and friend's houses having ceramic ones, when I was a kid. I've never had one of my own.
