"Why doesn't Biden step in??!!"
He can’t just overrule Texas law.
To be honest, this sort of thing should have been properly codified in federal law long ago, instead of just relying on precedent. He can help move that along, but in the short term there’s nothing he can do. |

The answer is that he can’t as such…
There are two ways that it can be sorted… ruling in the Supreme Court, or legislation through congress
The ruling opens up a Pandora box for many people…
The Texas state legislature basically did an end around current federal law in that it’s not the state that would do the chasing as such, but it empowers individuals to basically file charges against any who helps an individual and gives them a 10000 dollar bounty for doing so….
It basically encourages vigilantism….
The reason why it may come back to bite people is that if the end around stands… basically you gave people a blueprint to replace word for word the A word with gun legislation… or mandating covid vaccines as such… and if SCOTUS apply consistency they would not stop it!
Anyway we will know for sure if it will stand because there is a case that Mississippi are being brought up to SCOTUS because they want to bring a 15 week law….. where federal law is 24 weeks under roe vs wade
Texas is 6 weeks… with no exception whatsoever… none for anything criminal ( think of a word beginning with I and one that begins with R) and nothing that concerns the health of the mother… |

The world moves forward and the USA moves backwards
Imagine a woman being forced to bring an unwanted child into the world... she has to care for it, provide for it, bring it up, give up her dreams /ambitions..maybe she knows she is not fit to be a parent... Maybe she knows that a wanted /planned pregnancy will be so much better for the kid (And her)
And then we wonder why there are troubled adults in the world
For anyone about to say she should take protection.. It takes 2 to tango (and i have several friends who got pregnant whilst using various methods of protection) |

It's tragic that a country purporting to be for freedom, is very selective about who can have it and being indifferent to any suffering that their imposed doctrine causes. Trump imposed changes that have allowed this to come to fruition and he never cared about women, except for pussy.
The Texas lawmakers have created this very craftily, outsourcing responsibility to the public for action and motivating them by financial gain. It's totally sick
Biden is hamstrung, due to State vs Federal responsibilities and the Trump appointed judges, who favour turning back the clock. He can't just impose his demands and have state legislation changes |

When you see all those folks on tv ranting about vaccines their go to phrase is, "everyone has the right to choose"
Interesting how that evaporates when it comes to women. As someone wiser than I pointed out, the republicans are the pro life party, until the kid is born. Then they don't give a shit.
Too many Americans believe the propaganda of tv and movies about their country. It doesn't value life, especially American ones. Health care? If they spent a fraction of the defense budget on caring for the population they'd be in a much better condition. But that is seen as weakness or socialism, a word they don't know the meaning of. Everyone should be able to succeed and take care of themselves they think. That's not how a society works |

There may be a legislative solution coming… which is the “welfare of womens health” act…. Which was supported by most democrats and republicans…
That would be the way to get all the provisions for roe vs wade enshrined in law…
Which then puts senate republicans on the spot of either supporting it or having to filibuster it!!

Beyond the imagination that we need a welfare of womens health act in this day and age (but i hope for those who need it, that it gets through and provides them with the same civil libities as men ) |

When I lived in America, 20 years ago there where billboards everywhere sponsored by religious organisations advertising for pregnant women to come to them and they would find adoptive homes for their children. Someone explained to me that nice, Christian couples could then adopt the children after making a nice donation to the church.
