Stick a pencil behind your ear, you're never without a handy writing implement then.
When I was at work I used to roll my eyes every time someone phoned me for information and when I went to give it to them they said
"Just a minute I need to go and get pen and paper"

I always remember to get a pen and paper ready if I call someone.
If they call me, out of the blue, they'll have to wait a few seconds while I get a pen from my bag.
If I leave the pen on my table there's a good chance my dog will chew it. |

When I worked in door to door sales there'd often be a colleague asking for the lend of a pen. It always boggled me. |

"There was always that one guy though with a useful selection of different coloured biros in his shirt pocket.
Harry Hill?"
I think Harry Hill must have encountered the type of guy I mean. There's one in most workplaces. |

If I have my hair tied up at work I usually keep a pen poked through the top of my ponytail, chopstick style. One way I found to prevent colleagues from stealing them was to keep them in my bra...people don't tend to want to borrow them any more when you fish them out of the depths of your cleavage |

Ive done this. People were always pinching others pens in my old job. Easy solution, in my hair or bra, back pocket which was covered by my top or dropped in my bag when I left my desk because they wouldn't go in there. |
