Good morning to one and all.

Nipple piercings who has them?

How did you feel, did it feel nice getting nips pierced?

Did it make your nips more sensitive or not?

Did foreplay/sex centre more around the boobs/nipples as a result?

Currently contemplating 1 or 2 nipple piercings myself. Mine are very sensitive and want onto understand if the piercings helped heighten the fun?

Look forward to hearing from you…

Be sure the person piercing puts in a long enough bar. I got my nipple pierced when I was 20. The person doing it didn't put a long enough bar in to compensate for swelling

Most painful piercing I've had done and I have a few.

It took an age to heal and I kept catching it/ banging it.

Changed to a different style of jewellery and it was fine.

I really like it but it hasn't changed sensitivity or anything .

I’ve had both of mine done. Had real soreness for years until a month ago when another piercer said my body was reacting to the type of metal in the bars. Changed them to stainless steel and pain has gone. As I have unusually large nipples it’s hard to find jewellery to fit.

Brilliant feedback so far, didn’t realise the length of bar can affect the swelling.

Let alone type of metal chosen.

What type of metals are safe? Do different bodies tolerate metals differently?

I had mine done years ago and it never healed. It was sore for over a year and when I knocked it or caught it on clothes, it was agony. I took it out

I had mine in April. Wasn't particularly painful but still not healed properly yet. Can take up to a year.

I get on better with the titanium bars rather than stainless steel but guess its different for everyone.

Mine are much more sensitive x

I'm with you. I went to work one day and when I came home the wound had closed over one of the ends. I drank two bottles of stella, numbed the area with ice and the ex opened the wound with tweezers. The piercing was forever removed.

Fuuuuuuucking painful!!!!! But pain doesn’t last forever!

Risk losing sensitivity, or it enhances

Get it done by someone established at a tattoo studio

If you’re having both done, just do it, don’t have one now, and another later - you’ll not want that pain again. Get them done and out the way lol

somewhere, someplace

Both done, won't lie hurt having done, healing was worse as my while boob hurt not just the nipple, and oh the pain if you bang or catch it! Took about six months ish for me to heal.

Advice...titanium or stainless steel internally threaded bars and avoid shower scrunchies

I reacted to titanium. My present bars are 316 stainless steel. Xx

I have had many piercings but have never wanted nipple piercings.

I am also not fussed by others having their nipples pierced. Yes it can look good on some people but I don't find it a turn on to have a piece of metal clanking my teeth when I just want to feel a gorgeous nipple in my mouth.

It's not a deal breaker for me, heaven's no but just my own personal point of view.

I had them done two years ago after wanting them done for years.. wasn't disappointed! Pain was fine.. over quick.. the soreness at first made them more sensitive which I kind of liked! Pleasure/pain aspect I suppose! After breast feeding for 2 ½ years though this was nothing lol!! They are defo more sensitive.. lots of nipple play here! I love it when they show through my top! Hubby loves them too! I did contemplate having them done again the opposite way but decided against it as they would be more difficult to suck, which I love!! Vch piercing is next and can't wait!!

I got my right nipple pierced some 12 years ago. One of my better decisions.

Mine are sensitive anyway but the piercing heightens sensations and gives whoever is playing with it more fun things to do

I have a bar and ring which can be pulled, twisted etc.

Choose an established, reputable piercer and consider getting spare "balls" for the bar. I've lost a few especially when camping.

Addendum.... didn't take long to heal enough to be played with. A few days. Full healing was probably 3 to 4 weeks as it is a deep tissue piercing.

Momentary pain while it was done. Sore for a day or two. Only really hurt when I got it stuck on a door handle the next day! Tiny bit of blood.

I had a very similar experience.

Painful and swollen and it became infected.

Look away now if you are squeamish.

It was as if my breast was full of custard and when I squeezed it it was horrible.

I needed antibiotics to help it to heal.

Yes I did clean it as instructed but knowing how horrendous it was I wouldn’t advise anyone to have their nipple/s pierced.

Wow wasn’t thinking that nipple piercings would have such painful complications, let alone some bodies react to some metals differently??

How easy is it to maintain the piercings once put in?

Reply privately, Reply in forum +quote or View forums list

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

Once in you have to clean it a few times a day.

Egg cup and salty water or hibiscrub and cotton buds were the best I found.

Its 9 months and I'm has healed now properly. Having issues with another piercing though after catching it badly.

As for jewellery reactions most places will put titanium now as generally you get less reactions. In there is an issue go back to piercing place as they can change it for you, save the faffing.

Oh and it can close within an hour so be prepared of you should have to remove it

Mine has been easy. For the first few weeks I was given a salt water wash by the piercer. I'd take the bar out, clean the bar and "hole", put everything back.

Thereafter I have just kept it clean when I shower, usually just moving the bar side to side. Its been no trouble at all.

Some people do have skin allergies to metals, its worth knowing if any jewellery has ever caused a reaction if you wear rings, earrings etc.
