ascending the up@theo2 tomorrow evening, anyone else done it yet? It's modelled on the Sydney Harbour bridge walk and should kick the London eye into touch for user participation experience. Who's done it then and what's the verdict?  |

being on o2 got a mail from them and whilst i'd like it, dont think Sarah would ... also with the random weather we had all summer sods law would been that the day we planned to go it would been a wash out ... like Aug B/H last year atop Snowdon we couldnt see beyond our noses 
but looks like you'll have a cracking day tomoz so enjoy |

i worked on the construction of the o2 when it was known as the millenium dome!,i had to work at height in there from a cherry picker installing & welding steel work but would love to do the walk on the top for sure!,i dont mind working at heights.
i worked previously on number 1 america square which was a tall building built near tower bridge on top of fenchurch street station and used to be lifted in a man rider basket suspended from a towerr crane and lifted to areas to do welding on joints and remedial works,one day i had three gys go up in manrider to lifted to the floor where they had to work and as i were lifted the basket got a gentle push from a a sneaky foreman and as it got higher the spin got worse & worse!,they went green did not like the ride but i said "it would cost a fiver at least for a ride like that at thorpe park or at alton towers!". |

Hahahahaha, funny story _ucky_lads, that made me smile. Yeah stage 2 of the project is for the construction of a zip line from the platform on top of the O2 down to the square at the bottom, should be cool! |

Yeah! a walk in the park, but then I'm not affected by the exposure of having nothing between you and the drop off on your side like most. The only fiddly thing for me was trying to slide the latchway safety device past the brackets that hold it secure, but it isn't impossible for most people. They have already had a single amputee conquer the summit of the O2 and take off their prosthetic leg at top and wave it in the air for the crowds below, a good number of wheelchair users, and yesterday was a tandem blind ascent with a visually impaired GF.

See, it's not just me that really wants to know."
OK OK OK, of course the dog went, but only as far as base camp, we parted company as soon as Rupert had finnished the breifing, and met again on the north side |
