"Cause I’m clean They only go for clean hair That’s a load of old bollocks Not so, ask any hairdresser or gp" Absolutely - for many years kids were ostracised at school because people wrongly believed it had something to do with hygiene. Tea Tree oil works well as a prevention when added to normal shampoo and conditioner for anybody who has kids of school age.

"Cause I’m clean They only go for clean hair That’s a load of old bollocks Not so, ask any hairdresser or gp Again, I stick with my statement, that’s bollocks. They’ll lay eggs in any hair. " The reason people say this is because its harder for the lice to grip when hair is greasy, so they can lay on any hair but it's easier for them to spread on clean hair

They truly ARE visible to the naked eye or glasses! Answer the blo*dy question, please! " Yes the adult lice, if left untreated, can be seen by the naked eye. I saw one laying eggs on a child's hair I was standing behind in a queue in JD Sports once. It was climbing side to side, attaching eggs to the hair. I think it might have been new to the hair as it was half way down the hair strands, not by the roots

She was riddled, the poor girl.Do you wear thicker than average lenses? 4 feet isn't that far and she was picking them out and dropping them on the floor. SO! They truly ARE visible to the naked eye or glasses! Answer the blo*dy question, please! " The larger ones can be about the length of a grain of rice ish.. They are kinda flat and a browny see throughy kinda colour... The tiny ones are smaller than a pin head... They are visible if you are looking

"Or at least noticeably You may have your own reasons for that too But I know most of you would be lying Mine: Hardly ever had longish hair Please enter your own reasons why that dreaded affliction has NEVER visited you." Same, had level two shaved head until I left high school. Think the longest it got while at school was just above level 4. After that, not much longer but use wax and gel and they like long dry hair

"Be careful with Tea Tree Oil ...... it's strong and gives off a chemical type whiff...... NHS warn against anything that might irritate the scalp. They advise that NO ONE and NO THING prevents headlice. The best way is REGULAR wet or dry combing. So do that once a week say on a Sunday Night...... a bloody good nit comb through. From the NHS ...... You cannot prevent head lice There's nothing you can do to prevent head lice. You can help stop them spreading by wet or dry combing regularly to catch them early. Do not use medicated lotions and sprays to prevent head lice. They can irritate the scalp. There's no need for children to stay off school or to wash laundry on a hot wash." That's interesting, our children have always had to stay off school until it was treated and I was told by a pharmacist a couple of years ago to boil all bedding and throws/cushions etc anywhere we sat basically.
