He was an animal / wildlife expert and co-presenter on a TV programme called Animal Magic in the early 80's and then had his own TV show called The Really Wild Show in the late 80's early 90's
Didn't he hand rear a seal pup at some point ? |

oh what a shame.
as a kid his animal programmes were one of the things i use to run home from school for.
a good man and he did so much for others and animals.

I heard this earlier today. There was a lovely piece on the radio using an old interview where he explained moving to Scotland at 13 to look after otters. He told the story of how he had lost two fingers to an otter.
Animal Magic was Johnny Morris and then Terry Nutkins and they made is truly magical. |

Very sad news, he was a presenter of the old school with real passion for his subject rather than just doing it for the love of the pay cheque.
Must be my age, but seems to be that many of the characters I grew up with seem to be passing away all of a sudden. Suppose it's just another down side of being the south side of 40!
