"I live on my own but still shut the bathroom door 90% of the time.
Definitely a hard habit to break.
What pointless habits do you all have? "
Every time I lock my bathroom door I question my sanity. Interesting that I don't do it when I have a wee, only showering and, well you know, having a shit. I live alone ffs what even is that?
I keep my tinned food, towels and bedding in a neat order like a shop shelf display. Is that pointless? seeing as I like it that way? |

Locking it is a step further into madness I've not even taken!

I remember watching Sleeping With the Enemy on telly with my then partner, and where all the tins were lined up and the towels all straight he kept giving me meaningful looks.
Why wouldn't you have all the labels facing the front so you could see them easily? Why wouldn't you have all the tinned tomatoes in one place so you could see at a glance whether you needed to buy any? What's so wrong with lining up towels so they're symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing? |

Very reasonable. I like the owl pattern on my towels the right way up!

Mine would also be shutting the bathroom door, because the kids think it means enter at will! |

"Lately feeling like fighting crime in my spare time is a bit pointless. Always a new more violent criminal popping up, seems like the job is never done."
It's because you're doing it in your spare time. Criminals know that they're safe during office hours. You need to commit to it fully. |

You are never alone with a cat

I feed the sparrows in my garden, but mainly to fatten them up for the Sparrowhawk.
That's as much reliance as I want from an animal.
Though I do keep my windows open so the spiders get enough flies. |
