"Alternative to what?"
Mainstream culture. More commonly refers to goth and metal, but could include other genres esp punk. I'd count myself in if my dress sense wasn't middle aged geography teacher. My tastes in music and film incl a lot of alt. |

"Are you thinking of setting up a social? If so, then I would definitely be interested in joining in.
Also don't suppose anyone knows any decent alternative pubs, hang outs in London? "
This is a good shout! I mean the Dev would be an awesome spot, or any other Alt Bars in London, I’m open to suggestions |

Can I join your club based on music taste alone? I got refused entry to the 12bar a few times based on my dress sense. The Crobar (RIP) always welcomed me tho. |

The Dev? Is that it's whole name? I think I remember a place called the world's end? But that was ages ago since I came across it.

I think you can expand on that definition these days, anything that isn't considered mainstream or sports
So any additional dress sense like indie or hipster could be included in that. |

I've always thought those scenes a bit too mainstream esp in London, but I take your point. |

Yup it’s the whole name lol
Oh true, there’s also The Underworld and The Black Heart
Which usually have metal or rock in the background, the Underworld of course has bands performing there too at times |

There is a monthly "Metal munch" in London which is held in various pubs that support the rock/metal community. Last Friday it was held at Helgis in Hackney and before that the ship in soho. Its listed on FL events. |

"Camden is always a bit of a hub for alternate, great night out if you’re a fan of live music as well. Plenty of punk, goth etc venues about "
I’m in Camden quite a lot myself tbh |
