This is about challenging our internal stereotypes (we all have them myself included) and it is not limited to dancing.
So I love dancing and I came across this guy - please watch him as he defies any stereotyping when he starts:

If you like it please share other names of people who against expectations are doing something really well. |

"What do you mean he defies stereotyping, it’s a dude dancing, I’m confused, what we supposed to be looking at ? "
Ok, I wanted people to see for themselves that a rather big guy can move really well.
And I want to invite people to share if they can about people who can defy some limitations and do something really well.
Nothing else. |

Dancing is great for that. Go to most dance classes and you'll see fantastic moves from every shape and size of person. Even me
When Fred Astaire had an early film audition his report famously said: 'bald, can't act, can dance a little' |

"Watch the paralympics, there’s a whole host of people defying expectations, totally inspiring and uplifting to watch "
It's brilliant isn't it? Though the swimmers without arms make me wince when they hit the end of the pool. |

At risk of getting political....
When Kate Bingham was put in charge of the UK vaccination programme she was widely attacked as unqualified and a Govt crony. In fact she delivered one the best and most efficient Covid vax roll outs in the world which has saved many lives. A modern national hero. |

I agree, the vaccination programme has been a huge success, despite initial doubts. |

Mainly because the NHS and voluntary sector organisations made it so, but there we go....
And I was going to say - just check out the Paralympics, to see a bunch of people who the vast majority of the public would look on with pity, if they saw them waiting in vain for a ramp to get on a train, or unable to access that restaurant because there's steps at the front and the lift is broken/non existent. |

To be honest, scenarios like that make me angry... The fact that a person is disabled, shouldn't prevent them doing everyday things. |

Baroness T.G. Thompson, Peer of the HoL, has plenty to say about it..... |
