"
They don't... thought they loved why do you put it in trap "
You don't... lol
...that's from cartoon comedy sketches...
Sites with worst mice issues are grain and flour mills...
Now rats on the other hand... |

There once was a young mouse called Keith,
Who would circumcise men with his teeth,
It wasn't for leisure or sexual pleasure,
But to get to the cheese underneath!!
I'll see myself out thanks |

They don't
We use meat smelling jelly which sits at top of tube
The rat sticks it's head up there and triggers a switch which fires a steel bolt into its head killing it instantly.
Good-nature kill trap. |

"Always wondered " Apparently they don't particularly like cheese, and you will do better with a piece of cake in a mouse trap. I can only imagine that someone once had a theory that the smell of cheese would attract mice ? |

The myth of mice liking cheese was debunked decades ago, but persists as an urban myth.
The prefer sugary items such as biscuits, cakes, etc.
Rats outside in your garden thrive on fallen fruit: apples, pears, plums, gages, etc. These are obviously full of fructose, which is a natural sugar; in fact all sugars are natural, but provide a rapid rise in blood sugar level-TOO rapid. |
