Amazing drummer, could always feel his jazz roots. Also the best dressed man in rock.

I think that'll be the end of the Stones.

Such a wonderfully understated drummer, I was lucky enough to see his jazz band and you could tell that he was right at home. Saw him with the Stones many times and I feel incredibly lucky that I’ve got those memories to cherish.

Love to his family and to the brothers that he leaves behind.

I’m feeling really sad tonight, he helped shape the soundtrack of my life. Thank you Charlie, rest easy.

"I think that'll be the end of the Stones. "

I'd imagine so, the rest of the band may not feel it right to carry on. They played together for so long it'd be hard for another drummer to slot in

It would be a fitting tribute to him should this happen, none of them need to carry on and hopefully will feel they can't carry on regardless.

I hope not, I’m planning on seeing them on their 60th anniversary tour next year. Charlie had already pulled out of the US tour that starts in a few weeks, his replacement is Steve Jordan who Keef has worked with for many years.

I imagine the tour will be postponed and that Mick, Keef and Ronnie will carry on for a while yet. I’d have thought it’s what Charlie would have wanted.

RIP to the Wembley Whammer

That being the case I'd say you're right.

Hubby and I were very fortunate enough to see the Rolling Stones a couple of years ago.

Rest in peace Charlie x
