Is like me I'm going to Llandudno next month and I thought to myself even if it rains it's just a quick getaway for a couple of days but then when I get back I'll think to myself I wish I was in sunny Malta |

Went to Blackpool for a week on freedom day. Mask free and a fantastic holiday. Going to Cornwall in a couple of weeks too. Nothing against foreign holidays, I just prefer the UK |

"I went to Scotland.... Had cracking weather and the motorway was practically empty. I had 4 mins of roadworks
Scenery is beautiful, lots to do /see"
My cousin sent me some stunning pictures of the scenery from his Scottish holiday. |

"Nothing booked but really hoping to get away... South West would be good "
I was listening to a call in radio show last week and it did seem half of the UK were in the South West, either trying to get in or trying to get out.
Here is what I have learnt for visiting Devon / Cornwall as per listeners and my tiny research on the web.
Give yourself plenty, plenty, plenty and a bit more time for travel, and better still travel out of busy time periods
Book all your restaurants before travel, earlier the better. Most places are fully booked so not taking walk ins.
Try some less known villages / places rather than the well known big hitters like Padstow etc.
Be patient with hospitality staff, they are having a bad time of it right now.
Other than that if you do go before me, can you make sure you leave the sun on for when I get there in September?

No it doesn't have consistent or reliable sun. I think you choose your destination according to what you want at the time. We holiday in the UK and love it but we also holiday abroad and love that too . Living in a holiday destination does change your outlook a bit |

Currently in Bideford for a week. It's lovely. Went to Hele beach yesterday and it was so sunny. Even went in the sea.
I'm hoping to get off this Isle in November but seeing as I currently have no confirmed flights to meet the boat I'm not sure what is going on just yet |

The north of Devon/Cornwall is great. If you can get to Lynton/Lynmouth, it’s quite spectacular |

Me and my mate looking to have a weekend somewhere. Still undecided.
Always have to take ethnicity acceptance when going to places which can be annoying
For the outer Londoners... Where's a good place where people are generally cool. Don't have to be big city vibes. Balance of nature and a good evening out with people who are cool. |

We stay home on Bank Hols, weekends and school holidays. No complaints we need tourists and their spending power but please, please I beg of you stop wandering along four abreast when the locals need to get somewhere |

We tend not to go anywhere on Bank Holidays because everywhere is manic and there's too much traffic and crowding. Urgh |
