Have you got an editing suite?

If you have, try making a few copies of the image and then experiment with them.

You could try sharpening the image or go for a pop art style pic, the possibilities are endless.

Have you tried grey scaling and then use a slight sepia over that and blur the edges of the pic?

Make a background that is a bright colour and alter your pic so that it just shows the dark outline of you and then paste it onto the bright background to create a pop art type pic.

Its worth a try for a giggle

You PAID for Photoshop ? You must be the one !

If it's out of focus, it's out of focus, not a lot you can do...the only thing to bear in mind is that it might only ever be seen in website, so only you will ever know.

I'm a bugger for throwing images away when they're not pin sharp at 100% zoom though, so I feel your pain...and that's of bands that are jumping round on stage. I can live with motion blur but not out of focus

Pleasure !

That way, you don't lose the colour channels that often make for more dramatic B&W photos.

I would say shoot in RAW but that's a whole new nasty ball game !

little house on the praire

I had a tv friend that i was taking was coming over for some photos. I got her/him all made up with nice makeup on, nice lingerie. Photos where brilliant looking back at them on the camera, then when they loaded them on the computer my hand had been shaking on everyone and they where all blurred

'Borrow' Nik Filters off the Internet, life's a whole lot easier with those...and they have some gorgeous B&W filters !

Failing that, look for free 'Actions'...one click to lovely images. Some of the top wedding photographers give a few away free, Jeff Ascough, for instance.

You'd be fine!

And definitely not about taking orders, more direction, and your own input is always valuable.

Exactly what I meant

Unless said photographer says put your head down slightly etc, you'd not know...so that is direction

Modelling is not about taking orders as such, its instruction. Who else can see what the image looks like but the photographer.

When I take pictures of myself I always use a tripod and I set the camera up precisely. My year at college taught me a lot and I cant wait to start up again next week.

I used to take loads of pictures to get that one elusive good shot. I now take about 5 photos. At college Im on the other side of the camera so it has really helped and I just know what angles and what lighting I look best in
