What do people define as kinky
Jump to: Newest in thread
Some People seem to consider themselves as kinky, they promote the title for their own gains through sexual gratification…..but as a title it can mean so many different things in my opinion, is kinky the same as taboo, I’m sure it is to some…… so we’d love to hear what everyone considers kinky or taboo…
It’ll be interesting to see the answers… |

Interesting question...
I believe that the principal difference between the two is that something that is taboo has been explicitly prohibited (by the church... by law... by social convension) whereas things deemed kinky just have an unusual or very niche appeal.
I'd list examples, but I like not being banned by the admins for forbidden words - you'll have to use your imagination...

But the question was what you consider as kinky, not what you think might be considered kinky….,
Personally I think needle and piercing play, electric shocking, water tattooing while having sex, Ice branding, restraining, ball gagging and blindfolding while strangers are invited to play with you are kinky…surely everyone has an example of their thoughts….just because I think these are kinky doesn’t mean I haven’t tried or still want to try them…,come on people let’s hear what you consider kinky… |

The term kinky or taboo gets thrown around a lot these days, and most things are just normal sex, we all have things that turn us on and others not. I like a bit of roleplay, and somtimes that can get a little kinky, especially with the right person or couple. |

I quite like this definition I saw on a blog on YourTango:
'Embracing the parts of your sexuality that are a little against the grain, outside the standard expectations of romantic, intercourse based sex.'
But everyone's boundaries are different. Here is a benchmark you could use.... probably:
Erotic: Light touches with a feather.
Kinky: Using the pointy end of a feather to lightly scratch the skin (aka a writing quill).
Perverted. Using the whole chicken. |

In line with ops questtdion
I wanna throw in another
Perverted or fetish
There's no definition of what is I suppose . We just agree to disagree on each |

I'd say its all relevant to the person like so many things in life. There's no real absolutes of solid definable scales or limits.
If normal is missionary with the lights out for someone and suddenly they get a sneaky finger up the bum and it feels kinky to them then more power.
What's rich to some people is poor to another
What's unhealthy to one may be healthy to another |

Technically a fetish is when something must be present (or occur) for sexual gratification to be achieved.
Many people on the BDSM scene reclaim pervert as a positive thing. I've called myself a pervert more times than I care to count. |

"To me I guess I consider it meaning someone who has interests that are less commonplace and more niche"
That’s my understanding.. I hate commonplace... |

There are always going to be different levels of kink OP.
A kink has to be something not so common but it’s the thing that really gets you going.
Something that is taboo I think is something that is more extreme that just a kink. Again opinions differ with different people |

Kinky is anything that you consider to be beyond the 'norm' or what's 'acceptable' by society as a sex act.... it's your perspective.
So ...... where one person doesn't think a full forty minute fucking by a circus clown act with a cactus in a public square in Salt Lake City is kinky another will think the Clown's red lipstick alone is a kink too far... |
