Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe |
I live in part of a 19th century Gothic manor house which is on the edge of a wood.
On an evening as dusk falls, I can look out of my window and watch the bats give a flying display until it gets dark.
A couple of nights ago, after a very long day - I had been up since 5.30am and this was at 1am - I was dozing on the sofa in front of the telly when I could have sworn I saw a bat fly two laps of my lounge. I went into my hallway and into the other rooms, but no sign of it. All doors and windows were closed.
Yesterday I did a thorough search of my flat and still no sign of it.
So, I'm now paranoid that there is a bat hiding somewhere, which if not found and coaxed outside will die, and I'm also paranoid that there was never a bat in the first place and I was seeing things due to extreme tiredness and my meds.
I suppose it's a Scrodinger's bat! Is it there or isn't it? Is it alive and dead at the same time?
It's enough to drive me batty! |

Don't worry about it OP. I lived somewhere that had bats fly into the sitting room and then out again after a while on a few occasions. They know how to find their way around. |
