How many really read your profile?

How many really read your profile? We have so many fabbers who only seem the heading and not the whole profile. And we have to explain what we are looking for. I'm sure as fabbers we are not the only ones who suffer this

It happens to most people.

At least half of the messages I receive are from people who either haven't read it or assume that because I'm a man it's mostly for show and they can convince me otherwise.

It doesn't take long to see who actually read it.

I always read them. No point wasting my time messaging if I'm not what you're looking for

I always read the profile before messaging and include some of it in my message, perhaps I’m in the minority and weird lol

Rarely does a reply come back though

I suspect none - they just see boobs. Actually, scratch that; I KNOW it’s none, as my profile has been hidden for the last week or so while I re-write it!

Most of the questions I'm asked is "does your husband know you're on here?" And it is literally the first sentence on my profile so I think a lot of people just skip to pics/location

We get a lot of messages from guys and only a small amount do not read it. That percentage is higher with couples though, in fact I think more don’t than do.

We would say about 2 out of every 10 messages read our profile.

Put a status up this morning asking as it's Sunday can single guys read profiles, first message received said I've read your profile and understand it, but unfortunately for him he hadn't haha.

Personally I like to read the profiles so I can include elements of it in a message if I send one. I find it shows that I have taken an interest in something or someone’s attributes that align with mine. It may lead to a conversation it may not but I think it’s just courtesy that if you’ve taken the time to write about yourself the person who takes an in interest what you’re about not just the typical “hey sexy” “wanna meet” “fancy a fuck”

Everyone reads mine.

It’s very interesting and holds the attention of the reader.

I’m a very attention holding profile owner.

My advice to you all is to be more Sam.

I quite enjoy reading profiles if I’m honest.. profile first, status second and photos third..

Nice to make a cognitive decision on whether you’re a match, like a decision tree.. getting a flavour for interests and of course trying to respect those that are not meeting, not looking for single men etc..

Ultimately reduces the time taken on someone who has no interest in meeting and let’s you focus your time on building connections with those that might.

Besides, if the photos are great you can always show appreciation with a fab..

Appreciate I have no veris at the minute so feel free to ignore everything I’ve just said

Shangri-la

Very few seem to read mine. They also frequently send copy & paste messages along the lines of "I really like your profile", which is always amusing.

Somewhere near here

About 98% don't read profiles fully. Called one guy out once who argued with me that he had, he read the first few lines then messaged me with load of abuse. Explained that if he kept reading he’d understand, he told me he did read it all. Went on for several messages, I found it highly amusing, he found it highly upsetting!

What gets me is the people who write “I read your profile” and there’s NOTHING in their message to suggest that they actually have

I try to read all the ones I visit. Safer that way than to make yourself look an idiot. Most are informative & the really good ones raise a few laughs.

Can't comment on the possibility of people reading mine... Who knows?

You should use the trick of adding a line in your profile at the end that says "If you have read this far and still interested, send us a message with subject 'sunshine'"

Easy to delete all the other messages without even reading them.

On a previous profile a couple messaged to say they liked my profile and asked to meet

I pointed out that I don't meet without a social and it said so in my profile.

They agreed and suggested a pub and they would buy me a pint.

I pointed out that it also said on my profile that I was a non drinker.

That was ok we would have coffee instead.

What about the plane ticket I asked?

Plane ticket?

Yes how else am I getting to the USA?
