"Allen Turing
After watching the Bletchley Park films. A hero who saved so many lives should be treated so badly for his sexual orientation "
Agreed. We humans have the ability to be so cruel to each other. Thankfully we’re slowly starting to head down the right path, but I despair that it’s necessary to ‘head down the right path’ - we should all have been walking it together from the off. |

"Amy.
Definitely.
You also asked why. In her case it was her youth and also the ridiculous waste of life and talent."
The why isn’t mandatory, but thanks!
And the fact that you could almost see it coming for a number of years; that’s what broke me. |

Philip Lynott.
As in his song lyrics for Kings Call…
‘Me, I went to the liquor store and I bought a bottle of wine and a bottle of gin. I played his records all night and I got d*unk all over again.’
He wrote this for Elvis.
Phil died on the 4th January 1986, I always play Thin Lizzy on that day. I do have a drink but I don’t always get d*unk.
RIP

Aw. A lovely tradition to uphold.
‘Sarah’ was such a beautiful song to his daughter. |

"I dint think I've ever cried at a celebrity death "
I can think of a quite few, just off the top of my head; Victoria Wood, Rick Mayall, Terry Pratchett, Amy Winehouse, Peter Mathew, Carrie Fisher, Kirsty MacColl, Kobe Bryant & daughter, Sean Locke, Sir Alec Guinness, John Lennon, Tommy Cooper.
Mainly people who have been part of, or have themselves changed my life in some way; some just at the cause of their death and the horrific unfairness of it. |

Oh, and I’m not ashamed to say I cried like a baby watching Prince Philip’s funeral; when the Landie drove through with his hat and gloves, that was it. Then seeing her Maj sitting there, all tiny and alone, just broke me all over again. |

Wanted to name my daughter after that song. Unfortunately my partner at the time disagreed |
