Are you comfortable with being approached in a domineering fashion by another person?
How do you feel when another looms over you and lays out their demands?
If you do not do XYZ...

Would the example given above be a reasonable way of laying out a possible future consequence to you?
I think that it could be but THAT is only dependent on the circumstances in which it is given.
