Only-fans to block explicit content.

I don't understand why so many people (mainly men, from what I've seen) are so gleeful of some people losing a legitimate income stream. If you consume any kind of explicit content (porn - paid or otherwise) then you have no right to judge the people who make it for your consumption. |

I don’t think it’s glee at the work they do. It’s more of a jealousy of the easy access to quick money.
Guys don’t really have that. We can’t just sit in our room and take sexy pics and potentially become rich.
So it’s a mixture of jealous and anger at the lack of opportunity |

I didn’t know it had other content I always thought it was an amateur porn site.
It’ll go the same way as MySpace now and some other entrepreneur will set up a similar site, make a ton of money from Onlyfans demise. |

Agreed. Plus a lot of mates are pissed how much spam and fakes they get on tinder etc simply trying to get new subscribers. It's reduced their experiences of these places in a way other sex work etc hasn't.
For me, I don't like the exploration of empowerment. It's great that women (and others) have a way of making money other than "normal" employment and I'm all for that. But taking 20pc feels excessive.
I also am anti things that can exploit addictive habits. That includes porn and micropayments. |

I don’t like that OF sell this idea of get Rich quick. Every story you see is about how some singed mum lost her job at Tesco’s and now makes 30k a month on onlyfans.
Then a bunch of naive young woman sell nudes thinking they’ll get that.
The fact is, the average earnings of OF users is below minimum wage. Because for every womant hits it off and makes 30k a month, there’s 2000 girls that end up putting their nudes online for £3.99.
It’s feel like exploitation to me. And I also think it can harm their career. Most don’t want to be sex workers forever. But the money is lucrative. And then suddenly they’re 25, they’ve been selling nudes online for 5-7 years, and every time they go to a job interview they ask the same question. Why is your CV completely blank? And they struggle to get hired. So they’re forced into selling nudes again |

I think that any exploitation needs to be stamped out, but there must be ways of doing it without dumping the majority of the OF business model and content providers and customers.
Video cam sites like LJasmin seem to have figured it out?
