I love them!

What films have really scared you when you first saw them?

I can honestly say they never scare me, maybe I've been de-sensitised over the years lol

But I can remember watching The Evil Dead when I was about 14 on my own ( on pirate video lol) scared the life out of me! It looks a bit dated now though

Also around the same time The Exorcist had the same effect

So what's yours?

Carrie, I nearly shat myself! Was only a bairn at the time tho..... It was the hand coming out of the grave that did it for me, haven't watched one since. Lighthearted all the way for me!

i remember watching all the hammer films on fri eve in the early 70s found them all funny except the haunted house of horror 1972 scared the living daylights out of me .it was what friday the 13th was based on very very scary

to this day the film that scared me most when i watched it is pet cemetery

that film stayed with me a long time after i watched it. did watch it as a kid tho

I have yet to watch a horror that scares me. I watched the childs play films when I was about 8, and thought they were funny. I just don't scare easily I guess. Or I'm fucked in the head!!!

the original amytiville was my scariest as a kid, the one seen where the young girl is talking to jodie the invisible friend on the rocking chair...brrrrrrrr my neck

Poltergiest was made to watch it when i was 5 think i jumped behind the settee like a rocket as couldn't watch it all

nightmare on elm street my dad bought it me for christmas when i was 12 scared the shit out of me and then the fly when i was 13 but now nothing has that effect probally due to the sheer amout ive watched and own.

NOt a horror film but I remember watching an episode of sapphire and steel has a kid and there were people with no faces properly freaked me out, even now no faces creep me out in films

from a town near you

i cant watch horror films or any film with a lot of violence in them

funny cos i love to read thrillers and crime books
