And I'm hoping I don't here haha... It can't just be me this happens to but do you ever find that even though your brain is clearly thinking of the correct words to type , do you find that sometimes for no apparent reason when you press enter you've randomly and bizarrely missed an entire word out of your post even though you know damn well you'd thought of it ...
Is there any science behind this or is my brain simply working faster than my hands ??

I do this (kind of) when talking. When I'm saying bye to a cashier or something I muddle words up. So my brain thinks quicker than my mouth and I end up mashing words together. My favourite one at the minute is "ta" and "cheers" which comes out as "cha"  |

Very intelligent people often miss words and misspell things due to their brain working too quickly so may be it's that? |
